Our Diagnostic Services
At our in-house veterinary diagnostics lab, we are proud to offer advanced diagnostic testing to allow our vets to provide accurate diagnoses of your pet's medical issues.
- Radiography (Digital X-Rays)
We can use a radiograph (digital X-Ray) to examine your pet's internal systems to reveal information that we may not be able to see from the outside.
Radiography is a painless, safe and non-invasive procedure that uses only very low doses of radiation. Because the level of radiation exposure needed to perform radiography is so low, even very young pets and pregnant females can undergo this procedure.
Radiographs can be used to evaluate organs and bones, and diagnose conditions including chronic arthritis, broken bones, spinal cord diseases, bladder stones and some tumors.
- Ultrasound
The use of diagnostic imaging allows our team of veterinarian professionals to create extremely detailed images of your pet's internal structures.
With ultrasound imaging, we expose part of the body to high-frequency sound waves to produce images of the inside of the body.
Because we capture ultrasound images in real-time, we can see the structure and movement of your pet's internal organs, as well as blood flowing through the blood vessels.
Having this valuable technology available to our vets in our in-house lab means that your dog or cat's condition can be diagnosed quickly and treatment can start sooner.
- Digital Dental Radiology
Our state-of-the-art digital X-Ray technology helps us evaluate the health of your pet's teeth and gums.
Digital X-Rays are safer for your pet and allow our team of veterinary professionals to assess the bones, roots and internal anatomy of your cat or dog's teeth. We can see below the surface of your pet's gum line to fully evaluate each tooth.
This technology allows your vet to see results immediately and project them onto a computer monitor to view, then provide appropriate dental care.
- Bloodwork
Our hospital laboratory is fully equipped with blood analyzers allowing us to get rapid results on critical patients. We also offer blood work in our lab for some routine rechecks for your convenience.
- Extensive Screening Panels & Biopsy Specimens (Referral Labs)
We have chosen our referral laboratory due to its excellent quality, rapid-turn around (same day) and fair prices. We send our extensive screening panels and biopsy specimens to be examined by board-certified Veterinary Pathologists. We also send certain tests to U.C. Davis and select specialty labs around the country when needed.
